Great post and a very useful tool. I’m wondering if it’s feasible to trigger applications on my s60 phone. Say, turn on my voip ap (fring or ip pbx account) in different locations.

If you’re giving licenses away, I’d like to know how I could qualify to get one. I tried it and I just love it! I was this close to buying a Bluetooth module. But since there isn’t much GPS support here in my country, this actually works well with our networks. Fun!

I used to use this app on my 6600 too and as someone has already pointed out, it was a very cool app for switching profiles when popping out of the office and into town and vice versa.
I did at one time track the GSM postions of train stations on my daily journey to work, then when I’d get to a GSM cell just outside of the station I needed to get off at, id trigger an mp3 to wake me up from a power-nap though you’d have to have the handsfree in at the time though, otherwise you’d annoy other passengers.
The function of application auto-start would make this a must have!!

Sounds nice. If possible to automaticly send an SMS, I would program it to send a message to my girlfriend when I’m one trainstation from home (10 minutes prior to arrival), giving her a heads-up.

There is no such thing as lack of GPS coverage…
I am in Australia and with TOMTOM and a 42 Channel GPS from ebay i always get the best fix possible..
Always 6+ satellites on Max connection…Rain Hail or Shine..
This is good for local areas there u can teach it and program itl.
You cannot compare it to a GPS
